I am a highly skilled and trained makeup artist working in the wedding industry since 2019, holding a recognized and regulated Level 3 BTEC qualification in Production Arts Makeup Artistry since 2011. • How do i enquire about your services?
The best way to enquire about my services is to fill out the enquiry form on my website. Please provide as much detail as possible about your event, including the date, location, number of makeups required and event time.
  • When should i book my wedding makeup?
I take bookings up to two years in advance, provided my diary for your wedding year is open. I highly recommend booking as soon as you have your wedding date confirmed, especially if you're planning a wedding during the popular summer months (April to October). These key dates tend to book up well in advance, as wedding makeup is no longer a last-minute consideration. However, if you find yourself needing a last-minute booking, I do accept these if the date is still available.
  • How do i book?
Once we've discussed your requirements, confirmed your date is available, and addressed any important details, I will initiate the booking process if you're ready to secure your date. This involves sending you a link to my online booking form. This form will provide you with all the necessary information, including details on how to pay the booking fee required to secure your date. Your official booking confirmation will be sent to you within 48 hours of receiving both your completed booking form and the booking fee.
  • What if I'm unsure which package to choose?
That's perfectly alright! I'd be happy to discuss the different packages with you during a complimentary discovery call. This call will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, and together we can figure out which package best suits your specific needs and requirements.
  • Can i upgrade my package after booking?
Yes, but you cannot downgrade to a lower package. You can easily upgrade from 'THE CLASSIC' package to 'THE SIGNATURE' package. My VIP package 'THE LUXE' is an exclusive package filled with luxury experiences and gifts throughout your booking. To experience the full benefits of this package, your upgrade would need to occur ahead of your bridal trial or risk losing the full benefits of the package that are on offer.
  • Do you have a minimum booking requirement?
Yes, my minimum booking requirement depends on the package you choose: Classic Package: Requires a minimum booking of the bride plus two additional people for any date throughout the year. Signature Package: Requires a minimum booking of the bride plus two additional people for bookings on key dates, which are weekends between April 1st and October 31st, bank holidays and Christmas week 24th december-1st January. Luxe Package: Has no minimum booking requirement. It is important to note, that once your booking has been taken for your chosen package, you wont be able to reduce your numbers in makeup services in line with the package booked.
  • Can i book you for my bridesmaids makeup only?
As the key artist, my bookings are centered around providing makeup for the bride. Therefore, I only accept bookings where I am also booked to do the bride's makeup. If you have a large bridal party and require an additional makeup artist for the bridesmaids, I can either provide a trusted additional artist for you, or you are welcome to book another artist yourself. However, this is on the contractual condition that I remain the key artist responsible for the bride's makeup. If you are a wedding guest however, i would be happy to discuss scheduling you in for an event makeup
  • What if i don't know how many people to book for makeup at this point?
That's completely understandable! It's common not to have final numbers early in the planning process. However, it is important to note, that your booking is taken upon the information you have given and on the condition that we have enough time for each makeup service on the morning of the wedding. If you are unsure how many of your bridal party require makeup,I recommend asking based on the maximum number of people to ensure the timings are possible upon enquiry, and then you can book the minimum about. This will allow us to add members of your bridal party with ease. Reducing numbers from your bridal party however, may result in a reduction of the originally agreed-upon price, as your date has been secured based on that initial quotation. We can discuss this in more detail during your discovery call. You can check my cancellation policy in line with cancelling bridal party members in section 6F of my terms and conditions.
  • I have a large bridal party, how many people can you accomodate?
Upon enquiry, I will be able to tell you if i can accommodate your booking numbers. The number of people I can accommodate depends on your ceremony time and when we can access your getting-ready space. As a solo artist, I have catered to bridal parties of up to 10 people, this was based on a late afternoon ceremony time. upon enquiry, I will provide you with an approximate start and finish time for your wedding morning, allowing you to determine if the start time works for you and your bridal party. If your bridal party is too large for the timeframe we have, you will be given a few options to explore. For larger bridal parties, we have a few options: Early Start: I am happy to accommodate very early start times if your bridal party is comfortable with this. Please note that there is a small additional fee if I am required to depart before 6:00 am. Venue Change (if applicable): If your venue has restricted access times, we can begin makeup at a nearby location such as your home or a local hotel/Airbnb. Please be aware that additional travel time and a small fee will be added in this case. Additional Artist: I can arrange for a trusted additional makeup artist, hand-picked for their similar style and quality, to assist with your bridal party. This allows for a later start time for everyone. Additional artists can be added from £150.00 per artist.
  • Do you offer partial services? just eyes? just base? just lashes? etc.
No, I do not offer partial makeup services. As an artist, my aim is to create a cohesive, high-end look that is completed to a high standard. This ensures all colors are beautifully harmonized and the makeup is long-wearing. Providing only a portion of the makeup would be a misrepresentation of my complete work. Furthermore, it's crucial that all products applied to the face work together to achieve optimal longevity and to minimize the risk of any adverse reactions. By having full control over the products used, I can ensure compatibility and avoid unexpected reactions or product mismatches that could compromise the seamless wear of your makeup. If any members of your bridal party are hesitant about having their full makeup done, I offer a thorough consultation beforehand to address any concerns. I also request allergy information prior to the wedding day, and they are welcome to book a trial before the big day to experience the full look and ensure they are comfortable
  • Do you offer discounts?
No, I do not offer discounts on my services. My pricing reflects the quality of products used, my expertise, and the time dedicated to each client However, occasionally i do have special offers on my additional services known as ' The finishing touches'.
  • How much deposit is required to secure my date?
A non refundable and non transferable booking fee is required to secure your date in my diary. Without this, no date is secured. The amount is dependent on which package you choose. Please contact me for more information.
  • What is the payment process?
Your total is split into 3 payments. A booking fee is required to secure your date. This amount is dependent on which package you choose. Your next payment will be 50% of your remaining balance after your booking fee is deducted. This is invoiced to you within 3 working days after your trial has taken place in which you have 14 days to pay the invoice. Your final payment will be for the remaining 50% of your balance. This will be invoiced to you 4 weeks before the wedding, allowing you 14 days to pay it. Meaning your final balance will need to be paid by 2 weeks before your wedding. bank transfer is the required payment method.
  • can i pay before my balance is due?
While i can appreciate your eagerness to settle your balance, I prefer not to receive full payments until the time stated in my terms. Any payments made before the invoice is issued will be non-refundable and non-transferable. There are several reasons for this policy. Unforeseen circumstances, such as wedding cancellations or postponements (for various reasons, both joyful and difficult ) can occur and i am not in a position to offer refunds on unrequested early payments. The only upfront payment i require is your initial booking fee, which secures your wedding date and covers the administration involved in your booking. After your trial, your next instalment is required this covers the cost of your trial. Your final payment is invoiced 4 weeks before your wedding date. I have set these payment terms to ensure all services are finalized before creating your final invoice. This may include any additional services, any cancellations that occur in line with my cancellation policy or additional mileage, venue changes etc. Receiving payments before this stage can lead to tracking difficulties and potential confusion. Please note that this policy is subject to my full terms and conditions.
  • My bridesmaids are paying for themselves, can they pay you directly?
As a standard practice, my contract is solely with you, the bride, regardless of who is contributing to the overall cost. Managing individual payments from bridal party members can become very complicated. Therefore, it is your responsibility to coordinate and collect any contributions from your bridesmaids and make a single payment to me for the total balance. This ensures a clear and straightforward payment process.
  • How early can you start?
Ensuring a relaxed morning is a priority for all involved, as someone who has experienced 100s of wedding mornings, starting in good time and ensuring everyone is on time is crucial to Avoiding any last minute rushing and a stressed morning. As a bridal makeup specialist, i am used to early mornings, often seeing 3am starts, travelling across the west midlands, arriving at venues as the sun comes up. If however, your schedule requires me to depart prior to 5am, i do require an unsociable hour fee. Please contact me for more info.
  • My venue has a time restriction on what time we can access the property. What can i do about this?
Sometimes, venues do not allow access to the property or getting ready space until a certain time, usually because the venue staff are not on site until a certain time. If you are getting ready at home or staying at the same location the night before, this wont be a problem as to how early we can start but for larger bridal parties, early ceremonies or time restrictions we have a couple options: Venue Change : If your venue has restricted access times, we can begin makeup at a nearby location such as your home or a local hotel/Airbnb. Please be aware that additional time will be added to your timeline for packing up, travelling and re setting up in addition to a small added fee. Additional Artist: I can arrange for a trusted additional makeup artist, hand-picked for their similar style and quality, to assist with your bridal party. This allows for a later start time for everyone. Additional artists can be added from £150.00 per artist.
  • How long does the makeup application take on the day?
An estimated timeline will be provided upon enquiry but Exact timings will be confirmed after we have met at the trial. After your trial has taken place and we have discussed the finer details of the logistics of your day, you will be sent a detailed timeline for your makeup schedule, this will include, arrival time of your artist, set up time, application time per person, any interval timings like venue changes, application finish time, and dress and final touch ups timings and time to leave for your ceremony. To ensure a high standard of quality and that everyone feels pampered and heard, I allocate a minimum of 45 - 60 minutes per person for bridal party members For the bride, A minimum of 60-90 minutes is allocated to ensure extra care and attention is provided ,allowing the bride to experience a relaxed environment and special pampering with additional skin preparations. These timeframes also allows for thorough hygiene practices. I am very considerate of your other suppliers and is happy to work around your hairstylists timings. However it is important that i (the artist) create the timings for your makeup schedule as i know how long i need for each service.
  • Can i add someone on for makeup on the wedding day?
Unfortunately, adding someone for makeup on the wedding day is not possible. The morning's timeline is meticulously planned, much like a military operation, to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience for everyone. There simply won't be any additional time to accommodate an unexpected full 45-minute makeup application. Additionally, all payments must be completed before the wedding morning, prior to any makeup application.
  • Can i have a trial before booking you?
No, i don't take trial bookings ahead of securing your date. Due to the limited number of appointments and high demand, I prioritize bridal previews for brides who have secured their wedding date with a booking. This ensures I can give all my booked brides the dedicated attention they deserve. Also, its important to note, a date isn't fully secure until the booking fee is paid, and I wouldn't want you to have a preview only for the date to potentially be booked by someone else in the meantime. Here's what i recommend you do: First, I recommend exploring my portfolio to ensure my style aligns with your vision and that you appreciate the quality of my work. You can also check out my reviews on my Facebook and google pages. Next, let's have a discovery call! This gives us a chance to chat more about what you envision, for you to ask any questions you may have, and for us to get a feel for each other. If you're happy to proceed, you can secure your date with a £100 booking fee. Once that's done, we can schedule your bridal preview appointment.
  • When should i book my trial?
You will be sent an invitation to book your bridal preview. The invitation is to ensure fair scheduling for all brides and their ideal timeframes. For the best results, I suggest booking your preview no earlier than 6 months before your wedding, when all your plans are more finalized. Booking as late as one month prior to your wedding is possible, but please note that cancellations following a preview at that stage may align with my cancellation policy.
  • Where and When will my trial appointment be held?
I am a mobile artist, meaning you can have your bridal preview in the comfort of your own home and i will travel to you. I require your post code at the time of enquiry to ensure i can accommodate your trial location. At this time, Home preview appointments are available Mondays and Fridays and occasional Saturdays. For brides who live over 1 hours travel from B97. I have a salon space available to me on an occasional basis that i can schedule trials for. These appointments are very limited as this space is only available to me on Saturday mornings so these appointments are prioritized for long distance brides only.
  • what if i don't like my trial results?
Bridal makeup is a collaborative process between bride and makeup artist, Your ideas and honest feedback together with my expertise and professional guidance create magic. In my world, I don't do "trials" , I do a collaborative bridal preview. It's a chance for us to design and preview your perfect bridal look together, not necessarily to test my skills. I do have a very thorough design process to make sure we're on the same page. I can proudly say my cancellation rate and retrial rate are both at 0% meaning every single bride has left their bridal previews happy. That's the magic of my design process. However should you leave your bridal preview, communicating with me to ensure we've done everything we can for you and you still feel like it just wasn't you, you can cancel your booking in line with my terms and conditions.
  • Should my bridal party have a trial too?
Your bridal party can relax knowing they're in good hands and will look amazing, with or without a trial. On the day, I'll chat with each of them to understand their preferences before starting their makeup. While trials aren't essential for everyone (and sometimes not possible), they're a great option if anyone in your bridal party has particular concerns or sensitivities – it's entirely your decision. If you've booked their makeup, I'll collaborate with you during your trial to design a cohesive look that beautifully complements everyone, always keeping your bridal vision at the forefront. Even if some of your bridesmaids live far away, I can create stunning looks for them using photos and information.
  • What do i need to do/bring ahead of my trial?
I'll send you detailed instructions on how to prepare for your bridal preview, including skin prep, what to bring, and what to wear etc. You'll also receive a design questionnaire beforehand to gather all the important details about you. If you haven't done so already, I'll ask you to send over any inspiration pictures you have, as well as photos of your wedding aesthetic, including your dress, flowers, and color scheme. This will help me get a clear vision of your overall vibe!
  • How far do you travel?
For wedding bookings, I primarily cover the entire West Midlands region. If your venue is located outside of this area, please do still get in touch. While my standard coverage is the West Midlands, I am always open to discussing opportunities further afield. For event & occasion bookings, please contact me for more information.
  • Where are you based?
While I am located in Redditch, Worcestershire, my services are primarily mobile, meaning I come to you for your bridal preview if you are within an hour's travel of the B97 postcode. For brides located further away, I can offer appointments at a salon space on a limited basis. This option ensures that even if you're not local, there may still be an opportunity for a preview appointment.
  • Do you charge for travel and how much would this be?
Yes, a travel fee applies for on-location makeup services. The specific travel charge is dependent on the wedding package you select. This fee is calculated based on the distance to your venue and back and will be provided at the time of your enquiry. Please note that any changes to the location after the initial enquiry may result in a revised travel quotation. As a complimentary service, travel to your home address for the bridal preview is included if it is within a 45-minute radius.
  • What products do you use?
Quality is paramount in achieving flawless and long-lasting makeup. Therefore, my kit is exclusively stocked with luxury, professional-grade products from premium brands. These are tried, tested, and trusted to deliver exceptional results every time. Some of my absolute favourite brands include: Charlotte Tilbury, Giorgio Armani, Dior, Hourglass, Makeup by Mario, Mac, rare beauty, Bobbi Brown, It cosmetics, Tarte, Natasha Denona, Nars, Estee lauder, Milk makeup, Urban decay, Anastasia beverly hills, Tom Ford, Too faced, Loreal
  • Do i need to bring any of my own makeup?
No, you don't need to bring any makeup with you! I provide everything required for your makeup application, from foundation to lashes and lipstick. You can relax knowing that I use only high-quality and carefully selected professional products and have a wide range of shades available. While a complimentary lip product for touch-ups is included in your package, some brides choose to purchase a special keepsake lipstick from a brand like Dior or Charlotte Tilbury. If you have a specific lipstick shade you love, I'm also happy to use your own product which you can use to top up with, but I will still provide a complimentary option as well in your top up kit.
  • Do you offer airbrush makeup?
No, I don't currently offer airbrush makeup. While it was a popular technique in the past, modern bridal makeup nowadays tend to favour a radiant and hydrated skin finish, something airbrush makeup cannot achieve. Airbrush makeup involves using silicone or alcohol-based formulas often required for longevity and water resistance but can be less flattering for many skin types. These foundations are quite drying, mattifying and may flake on dry skin, accentuate texture like fine lines or blemishes. Airbrush makeup can be difficult to blend seamlessly, touch up, or prevent streaking if you become emotional. As artists, we prefer the control and flexibility of brushes and sponges to sculpt your features and create a flawless finish tailored to your individual skin. It's also worth noting that the 'airbrushed' look often seen in magazines is typically achieved through post-production editing like Photoshop, not solely through airbrush makeup application.
  • Are all your products vegan friendly?
While I don't identify as a strictly vegan makeup artist, I do incorporate a significant number of vegan and cruelty-free products into my professional kit. My priority is using high-performing, luxury brands, and unfortunately, most of these luxury brands are not entirely vegan. However, I am mindful of ethical considerations and strive to include vegan options where possible. In the past, I have successfully accommodated clients needing fully vegan applications due to allergies, although this did mean working with a more limited selection of my full kit.
  • Are lashes included for everyone?
Yes, lashes are included in all adult makeup and junior bridesmaid makeup and are available For anyone who desires them. I offer a wonderful selection of faux lashes, ranging from subtle individual lashes to glamorous strips. Even if you don't typically wear false lashes, your wedding day is a fantastic opportunity to consider their enhancing effect! Contrary to what some might think, faux lashes aren't just for dramatic looks. We use them strategically to add beautiful length and volume, or to perfectly frame and enhance your unique eye shape, making your eyes truly pop in photos. During your consultation, your artist will discuss your preferences, present the various options available, assess your eye shape, and help you choose a complementary lash style that beautifully completes your overall look. As i believe lashes can significantly enhance your wedding day makeup, they are included complimentary for all our clients.
  • Will my makeup last all day?
Yes, you can expect your makeup to last beautifully throughout your wedding day! While i can't make absolute guarantees (because, well, life happens!), the wonderful feedback from my past brides is that their makeup looked flawless from midday right through to midnight. My goal is always to create long-lasting, low-maintenance looks that can withstand all the emotions of your special day. I meticulously select high-performance products known for their staying power. I will, of course, provide the bride with a touch up kit including your chosen lip product for touch-ups after eating and drinking. A Top up of powder, blotting papers, q-tips, tissues etc. Touch up kits for bridal party can be added to your booking at additional cost. Enquire for details.
  • What are your hygiene practices?
As a professional makeup artist, I take hygiene extremely seriously and have rigorous practices in place to ensure the safety of my clients. Hand sanitizer is used diligently before and after each application, and I kindly request access to handwashing facilities at your preparation location. To avoid any risk of cross-contamination, products are never applied directly. I always decant the necessary amount onto a clean palette. For single-use items like mascara wands and lip applicators, I use disposable options for each client. My makeup brushes are either freshly sanitized or disposable. During your application, used brushes are kept isolated. After every booking my brushes go through a thorough 3 step cleaning process, involving the removal of the product using antibacterial brush soap, high quality antibacterial brush cleaner (iso clean) to further sanitize the bristles and isopropyl alcohol to clean the handles. These stringent hygiene measures are the fundaments of my professional service, prioritizing the well-being of every bride
